THE PAWLOCAL GUIDE · SEPTEMBER 2026
Your first mobile groom,
minus the guesswork.
Start with your address, your pet and a clear quote. Here’s a practical checklist for comparing LA providers.
What does mobile grooming cost?
Prices vary by provider, pet size, coat, service and location. A bath-only starting price is not comparable to a full haircut package.
| Published example | Price | What the price means |
|---|---|---|
| Go Hollywood Grooming | From $125 | Mobile bath for a 1–20 lb short-coat dog. |
| Go Hollywood cat grooming | $170 / $210 | Short-hair cat bath / bath with haircut. |
| Barkbus | $120–$350+ | Typical range stated by the company, depending on pet and service. |

Five questions worth asking
- Do you serve my exact address? Share your ZIP code and street before discussing dates.
- Do you groom my kind of pet? Cat grooming and handling requirements differ from dog services. Share age, temperament and any special care instructions.
- What is included in the total? Ask whether haircut, nails, coat work and any travel or service fees are included.
- What does the van need? Confirm a legal parking space, building access, clearance and whether water or electricity is required.
- What if plans change? Check the cancellation policy and how delays or unsuitable weather are handled.
Mobile van or in-home grooming?
Some marketplaces offer both. Mobile van grooming takes place in a fitted vehicle; in-home grooming uses space inside your home. Check which service you are selecting and what setup the groomer needs.
Make a useful shortlist
Compare two or three providers serving your area. Share the same pet details with each so their quotes are easier to compare. Our listings link to the provider’s own site, where you can confirm the latest information.
